Su Kim, DDS, MS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and founder of Tiny ToothPediatric Dentistry, but her patients consider her a magician. Why? Dr. Su Kim grew up in Columbia, Maryland. She knew early on in her career that she wanted to focus on keeping kids healthy, and Tiny Tooth Pediatric Dentistry has given her the opportunity of a lifetime.
Dr. Su Kim attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County, receiving a full Dean’s scholarship. She then earned her master’s in Biology from Towson University. While attending the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, she discovered that pediatric dentistry was her life’s calling. She graduated in the top 8, magna cum laude, received her DDS, and later earned her Pediatric Dentistry Residence Certificate. Dr. Su is proud to now be board certified and 2024 Top Dentist! She is also now a Diplomate of the ABPD to ensure her patients receive the highest standard of care. Fun fact: Dr. Su gave birth to her first child, Habin, on the night she took her 9 hour board exam!
Dr. Su is part of the Cleft Lip and Palate team at GBMC (Greater Baltimore Medical Center) and is credentialed at Sinai Hospital Lifebridge Health Center. In addition, she is also The Breathe Institute Ambassador; having received training at the Breathe Institute for Tongue-Tie and Lip-Tie Revision.
Today, Dr. Su takes pride in creating a positive, conservative dental experience for her patients and their families. It's her goal to be a friend and advocate to all the moms in her local community. As a mother to two daughters, you can find her spending time with her family, or playing tennis and rock climbing in the neighborhood. By offering support to you and your children in Columbia, Ellicott City and surrounding areas, Dr. Su hopes to provide care and instill habits that your child can carry with them for life.
Dr. Hwang grew up in Maryland and attended the University of Maryland, College Park. She was offered an admission into the Honors College receiving Honors citation in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program along with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She graduated with magna cum laude at the top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Hwang completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the nationally ranked Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. where she was elected to serve as the chief resident. She provided treatment to children and adolescents in the in-office outpatient setting, under moderate conscious sedation, and in the operating rooms under general anesthesia. She has extensive training in all areas of pediatric dentistry treating patients with trauma management, craniofacial anomalies, cleft lip and palate, TMJ and airway conditions, special health care needs, and complex medical conditions.
In her spare time, she loves traveling and hiking. She has backpacked Europe and South Asia in the past! On weekends, she enjoys watching and rooting for the DMV sports teams with her fiance

She volunteers at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in the Pediatric Dental Department as a Dean’s faculty member, and at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center serving as their pediatric dentist for the cleft lip and cleft palate team.
